Commissioning and start-up activities have been completed; the first Sinergia Air Separation Plant is definitively under operation
This project started in 2019 when Sinergia decided to extend its expertise to the design and construction of cryogenic air separation technology suitable for the production of nitrogen and oxygen in gaseous and liquid status. The strategy was to integrate with cryogenic the portfolio of N2 generation technologies, already including PSA and membranes for many years, to give a positive answer to the client’s demand.
By participating in a governmental tender, Sinergia decided to take on this challenge, in a joint venture with IGC, a local company specialized in civil construction.
A dedicated department, inclusive of all the necessary competencies was created within the company. Technical and commercial people are devoted to the common goal of satisfying all project specifications fixed by South Refinery Company, the largest refinery in Iraq.
The harsh climatic conditions and the complexity of engineering have been easily handled thanks to the long-lasting experience in designing engineered Instrument Air and N2 Generation Packages for M.E. Countries.
The long time it took from the P.O. to the commissioning was mainly caused by bureaucratic and procedural issues. We knew these were part of the challenge!

A small capacity but highly engineered project has been finally started, in record time, with great satisfaction of all people involved. Now, under the remote assistance, service performed by Sinergia technicians, the client is comfortably supported in the early operation phase.
During the detailed engineering phase, SRC had the chance to appreciate the assigned team and this with such an increasing interest and hype, so as to choose Sinergia for another N2 cryogenic plant, that will be installed in a close area.
