FLEXIBILITY AND HIGH PRESSURE IN SINERGIA’S NEW NITROGEN CONTAINERIZED GENERATOR

Nitrogen is a critical utility not only in Upstream applications but also plays a pivotal role in the Midstream industry. A prime example is our latest high-pressure Containerized Nitrogen Generation Package, recently manufactured at our Albino (Italy) facility.

This system has been engineered, to serve as a key process utility, for gas compressors within the “Linea Adriatica Gas Pipeline Project” which represents one of the most significant strategic investments in Italy’s gas distribution network, owned by Snam

Although the project does not operate under extreme environmental conditions, it required a high degree of operational flexibility. Within a single 40 ft (12 mt.) container, Sinergia has integrated a complete nitrogen production and compression plant. The solution combines high-quality standard equipment with customized instrumentation and process configurations, demonstrating our ability to optimize both footprint and technical performance, for example:

✅Advanced Pressure Turndown: The system is designed to independently supply two separate lines: a low-pressure discharge at 8 barg and a high-pressure feed reaching 80 barg, managed selected by reciprocating selected N2 booster.

✅Operational Continuity: To ensure the constant inerting of the gas compressor seals, the system includes an integrated high-pressure N2 bottle rack. This ensures over 10 hours of nitrogen supply in the event of a plant shutdown, effectively mitigating operational risks.

✅Certified Purity & Safety: The plant guarantees 99.5% nitrogen purity. This concentration is strictly monitored by a close loop SIL2-certified oxygen analyzer circuit.

✅Control Systems: Both the redundant Master Control Panel and the Power Distribution Board were entirely in-house designed and manufactured, ensuring seamless integration and reliability.

The completion of the Factory Acceptance Test marks just the end of the manufacturing phase: In the next months, Sinergia specialized technicians will oversee the final installation and commissioning, bringing our expertise at the service of this significant Italian gas project!
