Sinergia one of the 4000 world companies SA8000 certified.
Another “trophy” has been added to Sinergia’s showcase: Following the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications, Sinergia obtained its first SA800: 2014 certification, for workplace quality. This verifiable and voluntary certification is issued by SAI (Social Accountability International) and attests to the respect of human rights, workers’ rights, protection against the exploitation of minors and the guarantee of safety and health in the workplace for employed personnel.
Concepts such as Health and Safety, Freedom of association and rights, and fight against discrimination are themes on which the company has been protecting its employees and partners for years now, thanks to constant updating of the integrated system and policies. For example, a fight against discrimination, child labour and forced labour has been a fundamental part of Ethics in Sinergia for years. Finally, remuneration, working hours and disciplinary practices have long been included in company regulations, offering maximum applicable flexibility, and maintaining a respectful working environment.
However, this certification entails a source of pride and includes duties, managed by the appropriate Social Performance Team. This committee made up of employees and management, has the task of monitoring compliance with the standard and of the planned actions through periodic meetings, where all the reports anonymously received from employees are examined.
A special thanks goes to all the collaborators who make up this team, and to Sinergia Human Resources & QHSE departments for the excellent result achieved, which makes Sinergia one of the 4000 worldwide companies SA8000 certified.
